This policy does not replace OpenAI and ChatGPT terms and policies that apply to your use of their platform. Your conversation inside ChatGPT is governed by OpenAI. We only receive information that you submit to us through our forms or that you send to our systems through an external Action.

  8. Company stage preferences, optional

  9. Industry preferences, optional

  10. Function preferences ranked, optional

C. Career profile inputs you share during intake

  1. Years of experience and recent job titles

  2. Achievements you describe, including metrics if you provide them

  3. Examples of work you built, with links if you provide them

  4. Tools you use and your self reported level of comfort

D. Outputs generated for you by the GPT, only if you opt in to matching and we store your profile

  1. Role family scores and dimension scores

We do not automatically receive your email address from ChatGPT. You must type it if you want to share it with us.

​

4. Sensitive information

Do not provide sensitive personal information through our GPT, forms, or Actions. This includes health information, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, or information about minors. If you share sensitive information anyway, we will delete it when we reasonably can, or we will ask you to resubmit without it.

5. How we use your information

​

We use information to:

  1. Generate the career guidance you request, including role fit, gap plans, proof of work ideas, resume bullets, networking plans, and interview prep.

  2. If you explicitly opt in, contact you about matching opportunities and share a limited profile with potential employers when relevant.

  3. Maintain reliability, prevent misuse, troubleshoot issues, and enforce our rules.

  4. Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and users.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Legal basis for processing

​

We process personal information on one or more of the following bases, as applicable:

  1. Consent, for example when you opt in to matching and provide contact details.

  2. Contract, to provide the service you request and to respond to you.

  3. Legitimate interests, to maintain security, prevent fraud, improve our service, and manage our operations, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.

7. How we share your information

We share personal information only as described here.

A. Service providers
We may use vendors to run our service, such as data storage, email, analytics, and hosting providers. They may process your information only to provide services to us and under appropriate contractual safeguards.

B. Potential employers, only with your opt in
If you opt in to matching, we may share a limited subset of your information with potential employers or recruiting partners in Canada and the United States. This subset may include your name, LinkedIn URL, resume link if provided, city and region, work authorization status, and a short summary of your fit. We aim to share only what is reasonably needed to evaluate an opportunity.

C. Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, and integrity.

8. Using our custom GPT, and external Actions

Our custom GPT may ask you for information. You decide what to share.

If you opt in to matching and our GPT uses an external Action, the information listed in Section 3 may be sent to our systems so we can store your lead and matching profile. If you do not opt in, we do not request contact details for matching and we do not send them to our systems through an Action.

9. Data retention

We retain information for the shortest period needed for the purposes in this policy.

​

Default retention periods

​

  1. If you do not opt in to matching, we do not store your contact details for matching through an Action.

  2. If you opt in to matching but no active opportunity is pursued, we retain your matching profile for up to 12 months, then delete or deidentify it.

  3. If you engage in an active matching process or you request ongoing consideration, we retain your matching profile for up to 24 months from your last interaction, then delete or deidentify it.

  4. We may retain limited records of consent and deletion requests for up to 24 months for audit, security, and dispute resolution.

You can request deletion earlier at any time.

​

10. Security

​

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach that poses a real risk of significant harm, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected individuals and regulators as required by applicable law.

11. Storage and processing in Canada and the United States

​

We are based in Canada and focus on opportunities in Canada and the United States. We may store and process information in Canada and the United States, including where our service providers operate. Privacy laws may differ between jurisdictions.

12. Your rights and choices

​

You can:

  1. Use the GPT without providing contact information.

  2. Withdraw consent for matching at any time by emailing scott@scottstirrett.com.

  3. Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing info@scottstirrett.com.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

​

13. Compliance and regulators

​

We aim to comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including federal and provincial requirements that may apply depending on your province, and applicable privacy requirements in the United States that may apply depending on your state.

If you are in Canada and have unresolved concerns, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are in a province with a provincial privacy regulator, you may also contact that regulator.

14. Age limits

​

Our service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

15. Changes to this policy

​

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice.
